Inspiration for Male Advocates

The Month of Advocacy isn’t just for women—it’s an invitation for male allies to use their influence to champion women in ministry. On this page you’ll find ideas that range from leading a Sunday school class through A Baptist Reflection on the Bible and Women in Ministry and Leadership or the Equally Called study, to advocating for women’s representation on boards, encouraging and supporting women chaplains and missionaries, and sharing your own opportunities with a woman instead of accepting them yourself. Many men also bring creativity and joy to this work—hosting screenings, starting book clubs, or sharing advocacy graphics on social media. These suggestions are offered as starting points; you’re welcome to adapt them, combine them, or imagine new ways to learn, listen, and act. Together, through both intentional and fun engagement, male advocates can help build a church where women’s gifts and leadership are affirmed and fully embraced.
