About State Chapters

State BWIM chapters are official ministries of Baptist Women in Ministry, a nation-wide organization that exists to support Baptist women who pursue ministry and to advocate for the full affirmation of women in ministry in Baptist life.

State BWIM chapters provide a local connection for Baptist women in ministry and their supporters, and serve the purpose of creating a deeper sense of community and meeting specialized needs. By accomplishing these purposes, state BWIM chapters expand the reach of Baptist Women in Ministry’s nation-wide staff. State BWIM chapters operate with the same values and mission as Baptist Women in Ministry, and each state has volunteer leadership that organizes the chapter’s activities with the consultation and assistance of an assigned BWIM staff member.
