Rev. Dr. Jann Aldredge-Clanton, minister, author, liturgist, and trailblazer, passed away on September 20, 2024.
Last year, when we began brainstorming a unique and meaningful gift to give our foremothers for our 40th anniversary in 2023, we knew a uniquely commissioned hymn from Jann would capture the remembrance and celebration in a way that nothing else could. Below you will the lyrics and music to that hymn.

Rev. Libby Bellinger shared this of her dear friend, “Jann’s energy was boundless, her encouragement of women to claim their place in “Sophia-Wisdom’s” Kingdom was contagious, and her musical lyrics inspired and expanded the church’s inclusive literacy for both children and adults. She inspired, she educated, and she loved deeply. Her loss will be felt deeply.”
